Adding Runs to Your Experiments

Introduction

Expanding your experiment by adding more runs is a crucial step in optimizing your design. With desice.io, you can leverage Bayesian optimization to intelligently predict and add the next best runs to your experiment. Follow this guide to efficiently extend and refine your experiment.

Steps to Add Runs

1. Navigate to Your Experiment

Open your experiment in desice.io.

Go to the Data section of your experiment.

2. Click on "Predict Additional Runs"

Locate and click the Predict Additional Runs button. This will prompt you to configure the new runs.

3. Set the Number of Runs and Define Your Objective

Choose the number of additional runs you want to generate. Keep in mind that fewer runs will process faster. Select the response variables you want to optimize. The platform will use Bayesian optimization techniques to predict the next best runs based on these objectives.

5. Adjust Your Design Space (Optional)

If necessary, modify the boundaries of factors. This applies to both continuous and categorical factors.

6. Review and Add Predicted Runs

Once the system generates the suggested runs, review them. Click Add to Experiment to incorporate them into your study.

Conclusion

This feature enables you to identify the next optimal runs based on your defined objectives. Whether you are extending your design space or refining your experiment within an existing Design of Experiments (DoE) framework, Bayesian optimization helps you achieve better results efficiently. Try it out to maximize your experimental outcomes!
